Our Health and Wellbeing Committee are always working on different initiatives and projects throughout the school year. We started this year by electing a new Committee and our first project was to make a Listening Ear Box for each class – so each pupil could ask a question or highlight a concern in private to their teacher if they need to.
We made posters for and held a Halloween Dress Up Disco in the Halla for the whole school and we raised money for a local family through our Disco efforts. We also encouraged all classes to write New Year’s Resolutions for 2026 to encourage us all to try our best to improve ourselves in the coming year!
Currently we are working on our ‘I Lent a Hand’ project where each week our Teachers will be keeping a closer eye out for any pupils being extra kind or helpful to their classmates in the run up to Easter – these girls will be highlighted for their good deeds each Friday throughout Lent by getting their photo taken with our Wellbeing Trophy!
Later in the year, we will hold our Inter-Cultural Day to show off and highlight all of the wonderful nationalities and cultures that help to make Convent Primary such a wonderful and special place – it is always one of the year’s highlights!
We hope our committee’s activities encourage positive thinking, happiness and kindness amongst our pupils.
