6th Class has been taking part in the Junior Entrepreneur Programme (JEP) and it has been an exciting journey so far!
We began by breaking into groups to brainstorm ideas for our product. After choosing our best concepts, we researched our ideas to prepare detailed PowerPoint presentations for our product and created a prototype. The highlight was organising our very own Dragons Den event, where we presented our products to a judging panel. Our judges included local entrepreneur Ian Lucey, along with our principal Ms. O’Connor and Ms. Kiely. Each group used persuasive language, eye-catching slogans, and creative slides to convince the judges to select their idea.
We were also very lucky to welcome guest entrepreneur Eric McCarthy, founder of Jeneric Crafts. He shared his experience of owning a business, explained the big idea and vision behind it, and offered valuable advice on how we can become successful entrepreneurs ourselves.
We are currently carrying out market research for our upcoming product… all will be revealed soon! Stay Tuned!
