The Green School Committee is currently working on Projects with the view to becoming Climate Ambassadors. We are currently in year one of a two-year cycle. In December we had training day with David Mcilwraith from Green Schools Ireland. We learnt all about how we here in Convent Primary contribute to Climate Change. How we can help and prevent Climate Change. We also learnt about how Climate Change isn’t disturbed evenly around the world.

At the moment the Committee are working projects regarding water. We are finding out about the water cycle, where does our waste water goes? How does our waste effect our water system? To name but a few. We are also looking at ways we can harvest our rainwater to use it in the Summer months. Each project we complete we will upload to Green Schools Ireland and gain points towards becoming Green School Ambassadors. We are looking forward to some fun projects over the coming months ahead.
